FAQ

If you have any other interesting questions regarding waste management or the Oran Group, please contact us to ask.

What happens to municipal waste?

Oran Recycling currently helps two councils to meet their recycling targets.
Recyclable waste is collected and delivered to our Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) based in Grangemouth, including newspapers, magazines, cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans and tin cans.

Once at the MRF, the materials are picked out and sorted, then baled for sale to companies that recycle the reclaimed materials.

This process ensures the maximum amount of waste is recycled, helping councils to meet their targets.

How are recycled materials re-used in local, UK and worldwide markets?

Oran Recycling bale, shred and granulate materials including paper, aluminum cans, tin cans, plastic and cardboard.  The materials are then re-used by melting the materials and creating other products, for example plastic piping can be used to create garden furniture.
