News — Snowie Group awarded £25million business

Stirling based, The Snowie Group, has consolidated its position and reputation as one of Scotland’s leading independent businesses with the announcement that since the start of 2004 it has secured a number of major long-term contracts with a combined worth of £25million.

The contracts have been awarded for periods ranging from two to seven years and are for the provision of services including storage, transport and waste management.

Approximately 70 per cent of the work will be carried out south of the border on behalf of the major English utilities and water companies and operations will be co-ordinated from Snowie’s existing depots throughout England.

Euan Snowie, Finance Director, said that to ensure ongoing fulfilment of existing and new contracts The Group is currently committing £3million to capital investment, which includes the purchase of new trucks, premises and equipment.
