THE ORAN GROUP AND TERRA ECO SYSTEMS JOIN FORCES

Leading waste management company, The Oran Group, and Terra Eco Systems, the specialist recycling division of Thames Water, have joined forces to create OTW Services Limited. The joint venture will enable both companies to combine their extensive experience and expertise in the water and waste industry to provide innovative services to business organisations throughout the UK and Ireland.

Among the work OTW Services Limited will undertake includes skip management, intersite tankering and biosolid recycling. By offering this broad range of services, customers will have the opportunity to consolidate contracts and benefit from both cost savings and increased efficiency.

Based in Grangemouth, OTW Services Ltd will provide employment for up to 30 people, with a number of contracts in the pipeline which are set to create further job opportunities.

Both The Oran Group and Terra Eco Systems have a number of service contracts throughout the UK & Ireland, working within a diverse range of industry sectors, including Government, local authorities, pharmaceutical, food and drink, and utility groups.

The Oran Group, based in Stirling, currently employs 320 people across the UK and provides a complete range of integrated services, including waste management and recycling, recycling to agricultural land, composting, logistics and storage, vehicle and equipment hire, industrial cleaning and transport. The company are currently producing a range of biofuels and developing a pioneering waste to energy plant in Scotland.

Terra Eco Systems is the recycling arm of Thames Water and recycles 1.8 million tonnes of organic material throughout the UK. The company has recently launched an initiative to produce up to five million litres of biofuels each year utilising biosolid material in Scotland.
