News — The Oran Group... Continuing to Invest in their Future

Monday 12 March 2007

The Oran Group have announced that they are strategically investing in an improved IT infrastructure.  This investment represents a major step forward for the Group, demonstrating their commitment to growth whilst improving operational performance, increasing productivity and offering higher levels of customer service.

The group-wide system will be implemented by Microsoft waste management software specialists Cedilla Systems.  The Oran Group is investing in an integrated software solution to support core business processes such as sales, customer relationship management, job and contract management, plant management, finance and administration and supply chain management.

The IT infrastructure has been developed specifically for the waste management and recycling industry and will support the broad range of waste management and recycling services delivered by the Oran Group.

The project, which will involve a two-stage roll-out, will also support Oran’s fleet of specialist vehicles including improved communication between drivers and depot and fleet management, allowing the company to provide a more effective and efficient logistics service for its customers.

“We are confident that this solution meets all our software requirements, from integrated sales and customer relationship management, to real-time, centralised control of plant, vehicles and people to streamlined support, supply chain and finance functions” commented Michael Murphy, Managing Director at the Oran Group.

“We are looking forward to working with the Oran Group, one of the leading players in the waste management industry” commented Jason Fazackerley, Sales and Business Development Director at Çedilla Systems. “With further legislation just around the corner, more and more waste and logistics organisations are turning to a reliable and fully scaleable software solution to provide the IT infrastructure required to support their future business and compliance. “.
