News — ORAN OPEN NEW MATERIALS RECYCLING FACILITY

Oran Recycling have opened a new Materials Recycling Facility (MRF), based in Falkirk, which aims to help local building, construction and demolition industries tackle their recycling responsibilities.
The Carron MRF recovers and recycles a range of solid waste materials arising from Oran’s skip hire service operated in conjunction with GR Service Co (Falkirk) Limited, and materials include timber, brick, soil, scrap metal, plastics and cardboard.
Once received by the facility they are separated into designated waste streams through a combination of manual and mechanical sorting techniques. Once segregated, recovered materials will be processed further if necessary and then distributed to end markets for re-use and recycling. This facility will reduce the amount of solid waste material currently disposed of in landfill sites, and is therefore great news for the environment.
Nick Grove-White, Dry Waste Manager for Oran Recycling said “the opening of the Carron MRF is an exciting new development for Oran Recycling, which will allow us to increase the amount of construction and demolition waste materials recycled across Scotland. This addition to the company’s existing portfolio of recycling services will compliment their competitive skip hire service. Oran Recycling operates a diverse range of skips and bins, which are available for domestic and commercial use, along with a substantial fleet of waste collection vehicles to ensure an efficient and regular skip uplift service is delivered.
