News — Oran Group Acquire Kilbagie Paper Mill

The Oran Group are pleased to announce that they have acquired Kilbagie Paper Mill from the LPC Group. This acquisition represents the latest stage of the Oran Group’s long-term strategy to develop their service portfolio and strengthen their market position within the waste management industry.
Located one mile north of Kincardine, the strategically placed 45 acre site provides the Oran Group with several commercial opportunities and excellent transport links. The site lies between the new freight rail line linking Stirling and Longannet which will be completed by the end of 2007 and the new road leading to the Upper Forth Crossing at Kincardine. It is anticipated that following an extensive renovation process this site will house the Group’s head office.
Presently based at Midtown Business Park, Alloa, the Oran Group employs 370 people. As a leader within the waste management industry the Group deliver a wide range of integrated services across the UK and Ireland including material recovery, recycling, landfill with landfill diversion, competitive transport and skip hire, beneficial recycling to land, sludge processing and treatment, and logistics and storage.
Ben Ballantyne, Oran Group Operations Director commented on the acquisition, saying:
